The Legends know that they require to win their game against Axis St Ronald next Tuesday by 120 runs or more to steal the League 1 title on the final day of the AECL season. This was after they completed a 32 run win over the Royal Challengers, while Daredevils were awarded a walkover against ATSSC.
The Legends, batting first, scored 170 for 2 in a 15 over game against Challengers at Duthie Park last night. Chris Forbes hit a maximum 35. Graeme Gillanders, Drew Hinchcliffe and Jonny Barrett all scored 30. In reply, Royal Challengers fell short scoring 138 for 6. Sandy scored 30 and Indy 29. Doug Anderson and Russell Balsille both took 2 wickets.
The toss will be crucial on the 9th at Allan Park Stadium. If Axis St. Ronald win the toss and elect to bat, a 10 wicket win with a six off the last ball for The Legends would leave them - agonisingly - 14 margin points short of Daredevils.
